How to cancel a bank account?

I want to cancel one of my bank account in wells fargo...I wonder whether some extra fee will be charged and can I withdraw all the deposit at a time? thank you....|||Call them and ask to cancel it. If you have money in there, they will want the request in writing and will send you a check. If you are able to pull your money out, then they can probably do it right then for you over the phone.|||I did this once but took all my money out beforehand. Then closed it a while later. Don't know if they can charge you a fee or not, but if there is nothing in the account already it makes it harder for them to do so.|||Just write yourself a check for the remaining balance and deposit it into your new account. |||call them to cancel it or go to the bank itself with account issue and such.
