I was supposed to keep 3,000 in and I dropped below 3,000 after an ATM withdraw and they took out 200 pesos from the account for dropping below the 3,000 mark.
This was at the PCI before BDO took over.|||If you are going to withdraw at Merto Bank and Security Bank using your BPI atm-card. The Merto Bank and Security Bank has dollar rates in withdrawal of other bank card. That's why they took 200php in your bank account. If your going to your bank and ask about it. They will explain that to you. Or you can ask for bank statement.
In your age you used passbook type with atm. So you'll know about your withdrawals and deposit I mean all your transaction will be recorded in your passbook.|||This is not surprising. Banks usually will charge you a certain amount when your account is dormant, meaning you have not done anything with the account that will somehow indicate that you are still alive, like doing deposit, withdraw or even just to inquire your balance through ATM. They will also charge you for withholding tax and also service charge should your balance is below what was set prior your opening of said account. These service charges are allowed by the BSP.
The best way to know why you are being charged that amount is to visit your branch and ask. They will pull your records and they will tell you why.|||The minimum amount for ATM Account used to be 1000 pesos, maybe they raise the minimum, inquire at your BPI branch or closed your account before they take all your remaining balance.|||That was service charge.. you must have used your atm on a different bank atm machine.
