Stimulus check Direct Deposit if owing and Direct Paying?

I filed my taxes long ago with a payment of taxes owed to be withdrawn automatically from my checking account on the 15th. I did not include direct deposit information at the time because I did not think it was necessary.

When it comes time for the IRS to cut checks in May, will they be able to deposit my rebate into the account I paid from electronically, or will I be stuck waiting a few extra weeks for a paper check? I'll be in the first round either way, but direct deposit would mean the difference of about three weeks.|||This is from the FAQ regarding rebates on the IRS website:

Q. I chose direct debit to pay my tax bill. Will my Stimulus Payment be direct deposited to the same account?

A. No, the account information used for an incoming Direct Debit payment to the IRS cannot be used as the account information for the Direct Deposit of the stimulus payment. People who choose Direct Debit to pay a balance due will receive their stimulus payments by paper check through the mail. [Updated 3/3/08]|||Ya always get a direct deposit check the fastest same as this to, me and my wife file that same thing to.Also i was told that some people done got there money from it after just a few days of mailing it off. How true that is it remains to ne known.|||paper check.|||I seriously doubt anyone is going to wait weeks. The money will be direct deposited on the 2nd of May' we all should have our paper checks with a few days, unless you live in Alaska or Hawaii that might take longer. How could the IRS take your payment from your checking account without your routing and checking account number?|||Sadly, you will be waiting my friend.
