How many pokemon can you have at once in the gameboy game, Pokemon yellow?

I'm playing pokemon yellow, and for some reason it won't let me deposit or withdraw pokemon from "Bills PC". Is there a limit on how many pokemon you can have at one time in the game?|||In the original Pokemon games, you have to manually switch the PC boxes in order to deposit more Pokemon. When accessing Bill's PC, under 'Withdraw' and 'Deposit' there should be an option that says 'Box' or 'Change Box' (it's been a while since I played, so I don't quite remember the name of the command.) Select this command and it will ask you which Box you wish to deposit your new Pokemon into. Choose one that doesn't have any Pokemon in it, and Voila! You're done.





You Can't deposit Pokemon if the Box is full, and can't withdraw them if your party is full. Worst case scenario, if all of your boxes are full, than you will need to release some of your Pokemon to make room for more.|||There must be something wrong with Bill's PC. It was fine when I last played it.
