What is the time limit on check bouncing after it was cleared by bank? Can it be done after 9 month?

I've got refund check from utility. it was deposited to my bank and cleared in October. In may my bank withdraw this amount from my account and told me that " bank of utility refused to pay".


What are the time limits for such an action by my bank?|||Something is incredibly wrong here... I could see a couple of weeks... but not 8-9 MONTHS....





Go to the bank IN PERSON, and find out what happened..|||probably more than 9 months.


the real question would be why the chargeback occurred at all...
