Im working part time right now, but during the summer I will be going full time. I do not like the idea of carrying that much money in my wallet all the time, because im very absent minded. Most of the bank accounts I have looked into have a saving thing where you can only deposit money. The banks that are close to me are BBT, Bank of America, Coastal Federal, and of course the Walmart bank...that green forest thing...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.|||That green forest thing... is Woodforest.(That was funny, I've never heard it called that before) I work at a branch in IN. You can get a checking account with us at 16, but you have to have a parent or guardian on the account with you, at least until you are 17. You can deposit and withdraw as much as you like with the checking account, and you can also get a debit card. Once you turn 17, you and who ever else was on the account with you, can both sign to take their name off the account, or you can open a completely separate account. We are a really good bank, and I hope you choose us! I hope this answered your question.|||If you can only deposit money, it is probably a savings account. When you go the one of the banks say you want a checking account instead.
