Is it legal to play real money on online gambling?

I'm legal age %26amp; living in Texas.. also, can I use a VISA gift card for deposit %26amp; withdraw? Btw, I have a full time job but it's not enough to pay down my credit card bills.|||No, there is no federal law that prevents people from playing real money with offshore gaming sites. There are states with specific online gambling laws, but Texas is not one of them. It is only illegal for banks to process payments to and from "known illegal gambling sites"...but they do not define 'illegal gambling site'. This law was written to scare banks into becoming a defacto law enforcement entity.|||Depends on the site you are playing at and the state in which you live. The federal government has made it "legal" to gamble online; however, this is for intrastate gambling. This means that you can game within your state on a site that is regulated by your state. As long as none of the gaming does not cross your state borders you are fine (it then becomes interstate commerce which only Congress has the right under the Constitution to regulate). The problem is that I do not believe that any states (someone please correct me if you know otherwise) have enacted any regulation which would make online gaming legal in their state. As such, it is currently illegal.|||"I have a full time job but it's not enough to pay down my credit card bills."

I don't mean to sound insulting, but ARE YOU RETARDED? If you don't have enough money to pay your bills, WHY would you be looking to GAMBLE more of your money away?!?!?

I hope you haven't actually fooled yourself into thinking that you can MAKE money doing this! These on-line casinos were created for ONE REASON ONLY - that is to TAKE your money, not to give you any. If you EVER believe otherwise, you are a fool, and deserve to be homeless and broke.|||There are no laws against the players for online gambling so it is not illegal. There are only laws against the banks and gambling companies. This does not make it illegal but it does limit your options for depositing and withdrawing. Therefore you probably won't be able to use your visa gift card (but it can't hurt to try). If you are looking for a good U.S. friendly online sportsbook check out SportBet (A+ rating on www.sportsbookreview.com). They offer ACH wires and person to person transfers (e.g. moneygram, western union) for deposits AND withdrawals. Youe visa might work but if it doesn't you have these other options. More info on SportBet here: http://www.layitdownandwin.com/sportbet|||In the USA its illegal but there are sites that are still accepting USA deposits and paying out money.
